Suvarnabhumi Bangkok Airport – Terminal

Bangkok has two airports, Don Mueang and Suvarnabhumi, being the second the largest of them, serving as the primary international airport of the city and the region. It is located about 25 kilometers east of Bangkok city centre.

The domestic terminal officially opened in 2006 and later on for most of the domestic and international flights that hosts nowadays.

Bangkok Airport has a single terminal for both domestic and international flights. Since it is one of the biggest airport terminals in the world, it may be quite confusing to navigate through.

It is the main hub for Thai Airways International, Bangkok Airways and Orient Thai Airways.

It counts with the world’s tallest control tower (about 132.2 metres) and the world’s fourth largest single terminal building (563,00 sq m).

It is the sixth busiest airport in Asia and the transfer airport to reach any destination of South East Asia.

In 2012 Bangkok Airport Terminal became the most photographed place in the world in Instagram due to its unique and spectacular design: long tubular corridors of steel and glass.

.
The airport has 7 concourses in total.
